We are looking for a Programme Architect to provide architecture leadership at the overall programme level for a large-scale digital commerce transformation programme. The programme includes multiple workstreams across SFCC Headless Commerce, Mulesoft integrations, Mobile, Core systems, and related digital platforms. The Programme Architect will be responsible for ensuring end-to-end solution alignment, architecture governance, integration consistency, and technical oversight across all delivery streams.
This role is critical to ensure that all platform teams deliver against a unified target architecture, especially given the complexity of the programme and the need for multi-cloud knowledge.
The Programme Architect should have strong experience across the following areas:
  • Salesforce Commerce Cloud / SFCC Headless commerce implementation experience
  • PWA Kit and/or Storefront
  • Next experience preferred SFCC backend architecture
  • Commerce APIs / OCAPI / SCAPI understanding
  • Mulesoft API-led integration architecture
  • System, process, and experience APIs API migration / consolidation experience
  • Mobile Mobile app integration with commerce and backend systems
  • Mobile commerce architecture understanding Core / Enterprise Systems Integration with core business systems
  • Order, customer, product, pricing, inventory, fulfilment, and payment flows Multi-cloud / Multi-platform delivery
  • Ability to govern architecture across SFCC, MuleSoft, Mobile, Core and related systems

RequirementsCompetencies
  • Own and drive the overall programme-level architecture across all technical workstreams.
  • Define and maintain the end-to-end solution architecture for the programme.
  • Ensure alignment between: SFCC Headless workstream
  • MuleSoft integration/API workstream Mobile workstream
  • Core systems workstream QA/UAT/Go-live and warranty activities
  • Provide architecture governance across Discovery, Design, Build, UAT, Go-Live and Warranty phases.
  • Review solution designs from individual Solution Architects and Technical Architects.
  • Identify cross-workstream dependencies, risks, gaps, and technical conflicts.
  • Ensure architecture decisions are documented and communicated clearly.
  • Validate that SFCC headless approach is aligned with business, technical, and integration requirements.
  • Guide teams on use of PWA Kit / Storefront Next or other headless storefront considerations.
  • Oversee integration approach between SFCC, MuleSoft, mobile apps, and core systems.
  • Support estimation, planning, staffing validation, and delivery roadmap discussions.
  • Work closely with Programme Manager, Project Managers, Solution Architects, Technical Architects, Developers, QA, and client stakeholders.
  • Provide technical escalation support and decision-making during delivery.
  • Ensure solution scalability, performance, security, maintainability, and reusability.
  • Support go-live readiness, cutover planning, and warranty stabilization from an architecture perspective.
Skill Set
  • 12+ years of overall IT/digital commerce experience.
  • Strong architecture experience in enterprise commerce programmes.
  • Hands-on or strong solution architecture experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud / SFCC.
  • Experience with SFCC Headless implementations.
  • Knowledge of PWA Kit and/or Storefront Next.
  • Strong understanding of MuleSoft integration architecture.
  • Experience working with mobile commerce applications and integrations.
  • Good understanding of enterprise/core system integrations.
  • Ability to manage and govern architecture across multiple parallel workstreams.
  • Experience working on large transformation programmes with multiple vendors, teams, and stakeholders. 
  • Strong knowledge of API-led architecture, integration patterns, data flows, and system dependencies.
  • Ability to review and challenge designs from Solution Architects and Technical Architects.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work with distributed teams across India, Philippines, APAC, EMEA, and other regions.
