Principal Software Engineer – CPQ
About the Role
We are seeking ahigh-caliber Principal Software Engineerto lead the design and development of ourOracle CPQ platform. This is a critical, high-impact role for a hands-on technical leader who thrives in complex environments,operateswith urgency, and is passionate about building scalable, high-quality systems that directly drive business outcomes.
You will be aforce multiplier for the team—setting the bar for engineering excellence, mentoring senior engineers, and driving execution with speed and precision. This role requires deepexpertisein CPQ and the ability to translate complex commercial models intorobust, scalable implementations.
While focused on CPQ, you will ensure seamless integration with upstream systems such as Salesforce and downstream platforms including Zuora, PIM/PDH, and the Oracle EBS/Fusion stack (RMCS, FOM, SMC), with a strong emphasis onend-to-end system integrity and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Leadhands-on architecture, design, and developmentof Oracle CPQ solutions (BML, configuration, pricing, rules, approvals)
Drivehigh-quality, scalable implementationswith a strong focus on performance, maintainability, and reliability
Operate withurgency and ownership, ensuringtimelydelivery of business-critical capabilities
Design and implementcomplex product and pricing models, including hardware, software, and bundled offerings
Build andoptimizeadvanced pricing engines, discounting frameworks, and approval workflows
Define and enforceengineering best practices, including clean code, modular design, testing rigor, and CI/CD alignment
Mentor and elevatesenior engineers,providinghands-on guidance in design, development, and problem-solving
Leadcross-system integration design and implementationacross Salesforce (upstream) and downstream systems (Zuora, PIM/PDH, Oracle EBS/Fusion including RMCS, FOM, SMC)
Translate business requirements intoscalable, elegant CPQ solutionswith a deep understanding of business processes
Driveroot cause analysis and resolutionof complex production issues with a focus on long-term stability
Buildreusable frameworks and acceleratorsto increase team velocity and consistency
