Your impact
The Principal Engineer – Telecom will lead the design, engineering, and execution of telecom systems for data center projects. The role requires deep expertise in mission-critical communication infrastructure, ensuring high availability, reliability, and scalability aligned with global data center standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the engineering and design of telecom systems for data center projects, including structured cabling, fiber networks, and communication infrastructure.
• Develop and review telecom system architectures ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements.
• Oversee preparation of detailed engineering deliverables such as:
  • Network architecture diagrams
  • Cable routing layouts
  • Equipment layouts
  • Bill of Materials (BoM)
• Ensure integration of telecom systems with IT, security, BMS, and other data center systems.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams across multiple projects.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, mechanical, and IT to ensure seamless execution.
• Support procurement activities including vendor evaluation, technical bid analysis, and finalization of telecom equipment.
• Participate in client meetings, technical discussions, and design reviews.
• Ensure adherence to international standards such as TIA/EIA, IEEE, BICSI, ISO, and Uptime Institute guidelines.
• Review and approve vendor drawings, technical submissions, and installation methodologies.
• Provide support during installation, testing, commissioning, and handover phases.
• Identify risks, resolve complex technical issues, and ensure timely project deliveries.

Here's what you'll need
Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics / Telecommunications / Electrical Engineering
• Master’s degree or relevant certifications (CCNA/CCNP/BICSI RCDD) preferred

Experience:

• 18+ years of relevant experience in telecom design for data center or large infrastructure projects
• Proven experience in leading large-scale data center telecom engineering projects
• Exposure to hyperscale or mission-critical projects will be an added advantage

• Strong knowledge of:
  • Structured Cabling Systems (Copper & Fiber)
  • Data center network infrastructure
  • Optical fiber design (OSP/ISP)
  • Telecom room layouts (MDF/IDF)
  • Cable management systems
• Familiarity with:
  • Network switching (LAN/WAN concepts)
  • Passive and active network components
  • Smart Hands / DCIM integration
• Experience in using engineering tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar platforms.
• Understanding of redundancy concepts (Tier III / Tier IV data centers).
