Job Characteristics: Demonstrates ability to provide direction, planning, and problem resolution skills while using data engineering principles solve complex data flow challenges to integrate, model, and automate data pipelines and data systems. The employee should demonstrate mastering of skills across following data engineering areas: development of data integration pipelines between data systems, data security, ETL and ELT, quality engineering activities and data operation engineering. The employee assists in problem resolution activities and planning sessions.
Education/Work Experience: Typically requires a degree and significant experience; or no degree and significant combined education and equivalent work experience (typically 1 year experience = 1 year education). Technology or business related function experience.
Independence Level/Reports to: Recognized both within and outside the organization as thought leader in area of expertise. Responsibilities typically include: Recommending operational strategies and plans with direct impact on results. Influencing business decisions made by leadership. Problems are complex and multi-dimensional. Requires communication with executive leadership on matters of strategic importance.
