Job description

The Foreman – Precast is responsible for supervising day-to-day operations of precast concrete element production. This includes overseeing the preparation of moulds, reinforcement placement, casting, curing, demoulding, and yard management while ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards. The role requires close coordination with quality engineers, production planners, and skilled labourers. 


Supervise and coordinate all activities related to the production of precast elements such as columns, beams, wall panels, slabs, staircases, and other components in the casting yard.


Monitor and ensure timely preparation of molds, reinforcement placement, and fixing of embedded items (like lifting hooks, sleeves, and conduits) as per approved shop drawings and BBS.


Guide workers in handling formwork, applying mold release agents, and ensuring dimensional accuracy, alignment, and surface finish before concrete pouring.


 Coordinate with batching plant and quality team to ensure proper mix design, slump, and concrete temperature are maintained during casting operations.


Supervise the pouring, compaction, and finishing of concrete to ensure uniformity and surface quality, avoiding segregation, honeycombing, or surface defects.
