The Engineering Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for leading a variety of engineering activities including the design, acquisition and deployment of hardware, software and network infrastructure in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead efforts to ensure quality standards are being met within existing and planned framework.

Network Design & Implementation:
Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available network architectures.
Plan, configure, and deploy network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless access points) from various vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, F5).
Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
Troubleshooting & Support:
Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, including connectivity problems, performance degradation, and security incidents.
Provide expert-level support for all network-related problems, collaborating with other IT teams as needed.
Participate in an after-hours support for network change activities.
Network Security:
Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and access control lists (ACLs).
Ensure compliance with organizational security policies, published standards, and industry best practices.
Automation & Scripting:
Identify opportunities for network automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
Develop and implement scripts (e.g., Python, Ansible) for network configuration, monitoring, and management tasks.
Collaboration & Mentorship:
Work closely with other infrastructure teams (server, virtualization, cloud) to ensure seamless integration and operation of systems.
Participate in project planning and provide technical expertise for new initiatives.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on enterprise-level networks.
Strong proficiency in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching technologies (VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP), and VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN).
Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices.
Familiarity with network virtualization technologies (e.g., SD-WAN, NSX).
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred:
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNP, JNCIP, CCIE, PCNSE).
Experience with cloud networking (AWS VPC, Azure VNet, Google Cloud Networking).
Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Ansible, Terraform).
Experience with load balancers (e.g., F5 BIG-IP, A10 Networks).
Knowledge of VoIP and QoS implementation.
Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., finance, healthcare).
