As the Patient Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the hygiene department’s schedule and production.
Your key responsibility is to keep the appointment book full, ensuring that the daily office goals for both hygienists and doctors are met, and minimizing empty time slots.
Additionally, you will help ensure patients follow through with their hygiene visits and assist the department to ensure a smooth and efficient schedule.
Job Responsibilities: Manage the client's hygiene department’s schedule to maximize efficiency and productivity.
Contact patients to schedule dental work with hygienists and doctors.
Assist in keeping the hygiene department’s schedule full and running smoothly.
Ensure that patient costs are discussed and agreed upon before appointments.
Confirm appointments quickly and keep the schedule full at all times.
Follow up with patients to ensure treatment plans are completed.
Handle patient inquiries related to their treatment.
Coordinate with insurance companies to gather complete information on benefits and eligibility.
Reactivate patients who need to return to complete their treatment.
Work closely with Accounts and Insurance when providing patients with cost estimates.
Respond swiftly to any unexpected changes in patient schedules.
Assist patients with pre-medications or any medications as directed by the doctor.
Maintain detailed notes and records of all interactions with patients.
Collaborate with the back office to schedule patients who are awaiting cases from the Dental Lab.
