Snapshot of the Day!Responsible for the design, development, implementation, operation, and maintenance of instrument/electrical systems. Focus is on mathematical modelling of systems of a diverse nature, analyzing their dynamic behavior, and using control theory to create a controller that will cause the systems to behave in a desired manner. May specialize in the design, configuration, and automation of systems. Specialization Match Note: Engineers specializing in the design, configuration and automation of systems should be matched to this role.
How will you make an Impact. 

The primary contents of the work will be:


  • Engineering of control logic and programs for different FACTS solutions.
  • Adequate knowledge of open-loop control systems.
  • Establishing test setups in the factory and configuring hardware/software used for control systems.
  • Adequate knowledge of electrical substation components.
  • Creating documents such as design reports, test reports, and operation & maintenance manuals.
  • Providing after‑sales support for already commissioned systems.
  • Understanding the behavior of different types of FACTS devices and their roles in the power system is an essential part of the work.
  • Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as IEC61850, IEC‑104, IEC‑101, DNP3.0, Modbus, etc.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity measures and IT network systems.
  • Knowledge of MATLAB/SIMULINK, ideally combined with real‑time and embedded software.
  • Knowledge of SICAM Device Manager/Toolbox, WinCC, HMI, and Beckhoff controllers.
  • Knowledge of SICAM A8000 hardware and its configuration.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Willingness to travel to sites, including remote locations in India or abroad.
  • Commissioning of FACTS installations at sites in India and abroad.
  • Willingness to travel at short notice.
  • Typical site deputation duration is 5–6 months continuously. Facilities at the site will be basic in nature, and accommodation and transport will mostly be shared.
  • Having previous experience of working on FACTS projects would be an added advantage.
What you Bring!
  • B.E. Electrical or B.E. Electrical and Electronics.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience of   engineering of control logic and programs for different FACTS solutions
