How You’ll Make an Impact

·Design domain ontologies and collections using the company’s Domain Ontology Editor – ensuring their quality and completeness by verifying their ability to formally answer all competency questions

·Analyze existing knowledge to identify concepts for reuse or refactoring

·Assist data governance teams with documenting their domain-specific entities and attributes in the data catalog, and contextualizing using the ontology-controlled vocabulary

·Develop and maintain core building block ontologies to extend the upper ontology when new requirements arise

What You bring - Your Skills and Capabilities

·Proficient with semantic standards like RDF, RDFS, OWL, SHACL, and SKOS

·Demonstrable knowledge of and working experience with RDF graph database technologies, like Neptune and Stardog

·A solid background in Agile working environments, using tools such as Jira and Confluence

·Prior experience in the energy industry, or have supported a wide variety of businesses that lends itself to learning about our company and industry

·Strong communication and change management skills: able to explain technical concepts to business colleagues in plain language and naturally incorporate change management activities in the rollout of any data governance capability

·Fluent in both written and spoken English

·Growth mindset: flexible to multiple, sometimes competing, demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change

·You are motivated to contribute to the transformation and decarbonization of energy generation globally.
