About the job
Main responsibilities:
· Ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards related to emergency response and safety.
· Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential emergency scenarios and update plans accordingly.
· Design and implement training programs for employees on emergency response procedures.
· Conduct regular emergency drills to ensure all personnel are familiar with their roles and responsibilities during an emergency.
· Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a unified response during emergencies.
· Ensure availability and maintenance of emergency response equipment and resources.
Key Focus Areas:
· Lead investigations into emergency incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
· Maintain detailed records of incidents, training, drills, and compliance activities.
· Develop and implement communication protocols for effective information dissemination during emergencies.
· Evaluate the effectiveness of emergency response plans and procedures through post-incident reviews and drills.
· Lead the site’s HSE management system and documentation to ensure full compliance with Sanofi requirements & processes, adoption and adherence to Sanofi Digital Core model.
· Ensure end-to end processes are defined and designed.
· Ensure process owners are identified for each local end-to end local process.
· Support process owners to monitor the quality of execution and efficiency of their processes.
· Coordinate the local HSE process owner’s network. Connect the site process owners with the Communities of Practices managed at Global level.
· Ensure HSE capabilities through an adequate site training program: skill matrix, training plan, records, adherence monitoring …
· Support the HSE site governance and escalation process:
-Facilitate the site HSE reviews preparation, contribution to the site Risk mapping with Site Risk Officer and other functions
-Drive the HSE Culture program: coordinate the HSE culture maturity assessment, elaborate ad-hoc improvement plans, monitor their implementation.
-Coordinate a reliable HSE performance reporting of all HSE data consolidated and published at the company level. Collaborate with the other site stakeholders in charge: HSE, Engineering, P&C
· Lead and manage the Process excellence team including hiring, training, coaching, capabilities developing and performance evaluation which drive an excellent operating mindset.
About you
Desired Experience and Soft Skills:
Thorough knowledge of EHS requirements and standards.
Good exposure to change management
Good practice & understanding of new technologies & digital tools (including data analytical tools)
Experience in a cross-functional role (e.g., Production, Opex, Engineering) is a plus
5-8 years of relevant experience. Pharma experience preferred.
BE/M.Sc.
Excellent communication skills.
Good in Documentation
Experience in training contractual manpower.
Good coordination with stakeholders & other departments, excellence in networking, inter- personal relations
Should be Recognised Safety Officer from Inspectorate of Factories &Boilers Goa.
Should have ADIS Certification.
