The Role


Are you a tech-savvy problem-solver with a passion for ensuring optimal network performance? If so, look no further – Kyndryl  is seeking a Network Support Specialist who will be the go-to expert for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer networks.
As our Network Support Specialist, you'll be working in a complex, multi-vendor environment, and will use your analytical skills to identify and resolve network issues, make configuration changes, and implement security policies. This role requires someone who can think on their feet, test and apply corrective actions (including emergency changes), and participate in change reviews as needed. And with the ever-changing nature of technology, you'll be constantly learning and growing in your role.
You will work alongside a talented team of experts to plan and execute routine network changes, troubleshoot and solve network issues and outages, and maintain excellent communication with our end customers, project managers, and service engineers. You’ll be responsible for maintaining network components, monitoring network performance, and maintaining network security. You will also be providing user support for network-related issues, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of support possible.

Required Skills and Experience


  • 8–10 years of experience in Network & Network Security domain


  • BE in IT / EC / CS


  • Tier-3 (expert level) support for ACI, SD-WAN, Load Balancers, Firewalls, Proxies, IDS/IPS, NAC


  • Strong hands-on experience in network troubleshooting, performance analysis, and escalations


  • Ability to independently own and manage Network & Security Infrastructure support


  • Expertise in TCP/IP packet capture and network trace analysis


  • Strong experience in Routing Protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP


  • Hands-on knowledge of L2/L3 technologies: VLAN, HSRP, Port-channel, Static Routing


  • Experience with MPLS VPN, Multicast, Logical Overlay, IOS-XR


  • Expert-level knowledge of Cisco Routing, Switching, and Troubleshooting


  • Hands-on experience with:


    • Cisco ACI, Nexus, Catalyst switches & routers


    • Wireless Controllers and WAP configuration/troubleshooting


    • Cisco routers (ASR1001-X)


  • Experience with Checkpoint firewall configuration and management


  • Hands-on experience in firewall migration


  • Knowledge of core network security concepts and escalation handling


  • Ability to handle P1 incidents and escalations


  • Experience working in NOC environment (ITSM/ticketing tools)


  • Capability to handle escalations from L2 teams


  • Understanding of Enterprise Network Operations & Data Center Networks


  • Experience with ACL configuration (port opening)


  • Hands-on experience in traffic diversion techniques


  • Experience with SD-WAN edge devices (Fortinet)


  • Ability to design network architecture


Preferred Skills & Certifications
  • Experience with security technologies/tools:


    • Palo Alto, Firepower, Fortinet, Checkpoint


    • IDS/IPS, Zscaler, Sandbox, Allot


  • Experience supporting multiple vendor environments


Certifications
  • CCNA / CCIE


  • Fortinet NSE 6 / NSE 7
