Job Description: The Role and Impact: We are looking for a Network Device Driver Developer to build, optimize, and maintain high-performance network solutions that power Intel's innovative products. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain network device drivers across OS platforms. - Optimize packet processing, offloads, DMA paths, and interrupt handling. - Utilize HW-SW debugging tools to diagnose and resolve issues in the software stack. - Implement Ethernet standards, TCP/IP stack behaviors, and NIC configuration flows. - Work with virtualization and IO-virtualization technologies (like PCIe, SR-IOV, VF-PF) - Collaborate with firmware/hardware/validation teams and partner with OS vendors. - Represent the team in various forums with clear schedule and development plan - Analyze and improve OS kernel components for optimal performance and compatibility. - Contribute to the development of programming standards and best practices for driver software.

Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications: - Strong C/C++ programming and understanding of data structures - Experience with Linux or ESXi or Windows networking subsystems. - Strong understanding of Ethernet protocols, TCP/IP stack, OSI model, subnetting, routing. - Knowledge of OS internals: interrupts, DMA, processes, threads, memory management, synchronization. - Exposure to NVMe/TCP, RDMA, SCSI, FCoE. - Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, cloud environments. - Strong acquaintance to hands on AI-assisted development work - Minimum of 6+ years of industry experience with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications: - Proven ability to collaborate across teams and communicate technical concepts effectively. - Experience in hardware design reviews and integration processes. - Certification, Compliance and Release process methodologies - ESXi: Acquaintance to Networking stack, vCenter utilities, VMware's cloud computing virtualization platform - Development of Unit Test framework
