Job Opportunity: Modeling Engineer

Location: Bangalore, India
Company: Analog Devices (NASDAQ: ADI)

At Analog Devices (ADI), we design and manufacture world-class semiconductor products and solutions that power innovation across industries — from aerospace and defense to automotive, healthcare, and communications. By seamlessly bridging the physical and digital realms, our technologies enable customers to sense, measure, and connect with unmatched precision.

We are seeking a versatile and driven Modeling Engineer to join our agile Aerospace and Defense Group. This team is at the forefront of developing next-generation high-speed RF converter-based products and RF integrated transceivers.

As part of this dynamic group, you will collaborate with experts in digital, analog, and mixed-signal design, as well as algorithm and software development, to deliver state-of-the-art RF and signal processing chips.

We are looking for a highly motivated Modeling Engineer to define, develop, and maintain system-level models that support architecture exploration, performance analysis, and design validation. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle to ensure models accurately reflect system behavior and requirements.

The selected candidate will be based at our Bangalore office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define modeling requirements based on system and architecture specifications.
  • Collaborate with system architects, design engineers, verification teams, software developers, and product evaluation engineers.
  • Develop high-level models using SystemC, C++, Python, or other modeling frameworks aligned with functional and performance needs.
  • Integrate models into simulation environments for performance and functional analysis.
  • Support model-based design and verification activities.
  • Analyze simulation results and provide feedback to enhance system architecture and design.
  • Maintain and update models in response to evolving requirements.
  • Document models for reuse and scalability across projects.
  • Conduct regression testing to ensure model reliability.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Communication Engineering (ME/M.Tech/BE/B.Tech).
  • 1-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong foundation in signal processing concepts.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, SystemC, and MATLAB.
  • Familiarity with Python and the Pytest framework.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Intelligence, enthusiasm, and a solid work ethic are highly valued for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with RF systems, mixed-signal design, or aerospace/defense applications.
  • Hands-on expertise with advanced simulation tools and environments.
  • Knowledge of hardware/software co-design and verification methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile development practices and collaborative engineering workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and contribute to complex, multidisciplinary projects.
