Job Summary:


The MEP Engineering Manager will lead and manage the HVAC & Fire engineering design for projects, development and implementation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role involves coordinating projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and fostering innovation within the team. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, technical expertise in HVAC engineering, and a proven track record in project management. HVAC Design/ Engineering experience in major infra projects is preferred.


Responsibilities:



  1. Lead and manage the HVAC & Fire engineering team to achieve project goals.
  2. Design and development of HVAC/FPS systems, ensuring efficiency, sustainability, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HVAC solutions into overall project plans.
  4. Review technical specifications and ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  5. Participate in project planning, budgeting, and bidding for various projects.
  6. Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes.
  7. Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing within the team.
  8. Develop conceptual and detailed design for HVAC and its interfaces with other systems.
  9. Perform required calculations (manual as well as software based) for the designing of the system.
  10. Review of vendor submittals and shop drawings for confirming compliance to the project requirements.
  11. Review of detailed BOQ as well as bidding BOQ

Requirements:



  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  2. 15 to 18 years experience in HVAC & Fire engineering. International Projects experience preferred.
  3. Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles, ASHRAE, ISHRAE, Indian & International codes, and standards.
  4. Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a technical team.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  6. Familiarity with relevant software (HAP etc.) and tools used in HVAC engineering.
  7. Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
  8. Experience in BIM environment, REVIT, AUTOCAD etc.
