An Ideal Candidate:



our ideal candidate is a IPDRG Medical coder specialist with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Coding, with hands-on experience specifically in Inpatient DRG Coding. Additionally, candidates must be certified coders, holding either a CCS/CIC or CPC certification.

  • Coding & Sequencing: Reviewing patient medical records to assign accurate ICD-10-CM (principal/secondary diagnosis) and PCS codes.
  • DRG Assignment: Assigning and sequencing MS-DRG/APR-DRG codes to optimize reimbursement.
  • Compliance: Ensuring adherence to HIPAA, PHI (Protected Health Information) guidelines, and official coding guidelines.
  • Documentation: Reviewing clinical documentation for completeness and querying physicians for clarification when necessary.
  • Quality & Productivity: Maintaining high accuracy rates (typically >95%) and meeting daily/monthly productivity benchmarks.
