Mechanical Designer HVAC (Buildings)

Stantec is looking for Revit MEP modeler and detailing designer with expertise in Revit MEP buildings applications to be based in the Pune, India office.
The Revit MEP Designer role conducts and supports the delivery of complete mechanical designs for HVAC system across projects in Residential, Commercial, Highrise buildings and Health Care facilities.
The successful candidate will be keen and encouraged to develop design skills in their chosen MEP field to contribute to overall project designs. This will include becoming familiar with Standards relevant to the project location (e.g., Middle East, Australian, British and American Standards).
Responsibilities:
- Develop 3D BIM models for HVAC systems in Autodesk Revit in line with LOD 300–400 requirements
- Prepare general arrangement drawings, layouts, sections, elevations, and schematics
- Execute assigned modeling and drafting tasks in accordance with project requirements and design intent
- Support clash detection and coordination by identifying and reporting issues using Navisworks/ACC
- Coordinate with Architectural, Structural, and MEP disciplines to support integrated project delivery
- Generate quantity take-offs (QTO), schedules, and basic BOQs from BIM models
- Assist in the creation and modification of Revit families as required
- Ensure compliance with project BIM standards, QA/QC processes, and client requirements
- Work within ACC/BIM 360 for model coordination and document management
- Participate in coordination meetings and design reviews
- Provide regular updates on assigned tasks to project leads
Competencies:
Technical Knowledge
- Basic understanding of: - HVAC systems and components
- Air distribution and duct routing
- Mechanical layouts and drawings
BIM & Tools
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP and AutoCAD
- Basic knowledge of Navisworks and ACC/BIM 360
- Exposure to Dynamo or BIM automation tools is an advantage
Learning & Development
- Willingness to develop knowledge of BIM standards, workflows, and coordination practices
- Ability to learn and apply international codes and standards
Qualifications and skills:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or ITI with relevant experience)
- 2 to 5 years of experience in Revit MEP modeling for building projects
- Exposure to international projects (Australia, UK, NA, Middle East) is an advantage
- Good communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Organized and detail-oriented approach to work
- Ability to manage assigned tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong collaboration mindset
