Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce / Supply Chain / Logistics / Engineering – Preferred
Diploma or certification in Material Management / Inventory Management is an advantage
Minimum 5 years of experience in store management and inventory control, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects
Project Site
The Candidate will be responsible for supporting day-to-day store operations at the construction site, including material receipt, storage, inventory tracking, and issuance of materials required for construction activities.
The role involves maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating with procurement and execution teams, and ensuring proper material handling and documentation.
Receive materials at site and verify them against purchase orders, delivery challans, and material specifications.
Assist in preparation of Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) and maintain proper inward documentation.
Coordinate with QA/QC teams for material inspection where required.
Maintain accurate inventory records of construction materials, tools, and consumables.
Update stock registers and inventory systems regularly.
Monitor stock levels and inform the Stores Incharge regarding low stock or material shortages.
Issue materials to site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors based on approved material requisitions.
Maintain records of material outward entries and consumption tracking.
Ensure proper documentation for material movement from stores to site work fronts.
Ensure proper stacking, labeling, and storage of materials within the store area.
Monitor storage conditions to prevent material damage, theft, or wastage.
Maintain organized and systematic store layouts and material segregation.
Maintain records of GRNs, material inward/outward registers, stock reports, and delivery challans.
Ensure all store transactions are properly documented and recorded in inventory systems.
Maintain documentation required for internal audits and stock verification.
Assist in periodic stock checks and physical inventory verification.
Support reconciliation of physical stock with inventory records.
Report any material discrepancies or damages to the Stores Incharge.
Coordinate with procurement teams for pending deliveries and material planning.
Support execution teams with timely availability of materials.
Communicate material availability updates to the Stores Incharge and project teams.
Knowledge of construction materials and inventory management practices
Experience handling material documentation such as GRN, challans, and inventory registers
Familiarity with ERP systems or inventory management software
Proficiency in MS Excel and basic reporting tools
Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
Good coordination with procurement and site execution teams
Strong organizational and inventory management skills
Attention to detail and accuracy in material documentation
Ability to manage multiple material requests and store operations simultaneously
