The Senior Manager – EHS will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) policies and practices across construction site. The role involves ensuring strict compliance with safety regulations, promoting a strong safety culture, and minimizing workplace hazards and incidents.
The candidate will lead site safety teams, coordinate with project management and contractors, and ensure all construction activities are carried out safely and in compliance with statutory requirements.
Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and safety management systems across project sites.
Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations, company safety policies, and industry standards.
Promote a strong safety culture among employees, subcontractors, and workers.
Monitor safety practices across construction activities including structural work, formwork, reinforcement, finishing, and MEP installations.
Ensure implementation of safe work procedures, risk assessments, and method statements.
Conduct periodic site safety inspections and audits.
Identify potential workplace hazards and safety risks across project activities.
Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to minimize accidents and unsafe conditions.
Review and approve Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and risk assessments.
Lead investigations for accidents, near misses, and safety incidents.
Identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Maintain proper incident reporting and documentation.
Conduct safety training programs and awareness sessions for employees and workers.
Ensure regular toolbox talks and safety briefings at project sites.
Promote best safety practices among subcontractors and labour teams.
Ensure proper implementation of environmental management practices including waste management, dust control, and pollution prevention.
Monitor compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
Monitor safety performance of subcontractors and vendors.
Ensure contractors comply with site safety standards and procedures.
Participate in contractor safety meetings and reviews.
Maintain records of safety inspections, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
Prepare EHS performance reports and safety statistics.
Report safety performance to project leadership and management.
Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations
Experience in risk assessment, hazard identification, and incident investigation
Knowledge of environmental management practices in construction projects
Familiarity with safety audit procedures and compliance requirements
Proficiency in MS Excel, reporting tools, and safety documentation systems
Strong leadership and team management capabilities
Excellent communication and training skills
Ability to influence and promote safety culture at construction sites
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
