Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical) – Mandatory
Diploma / Certification in Industrial Safety / Construction Safety from a recognized institute preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) in construction projects, preferably high-rise residential or commercial building projects
Project Site
The Engineer / Sr. Engineer – EHS will be responsible for monitoring daily safety practices at the construction site and ensuring compliance with company safety policies and statutory regulations. The role involves identifying hazards, implementing preventive measures, conducting safety inspections, and ensuring that all construction activities are carried out safely.
The position will work closely with project execution teams, subcontractors, and safety supervisors to promote a strong safety culture across the project.
Monitor daily construction activities to ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
Ensure safe execution of structural works, formwork operations, reinforcement works, finishing works, and MEP installations.
Conduct routine site safety inspections and hazard identification.
Identify unsafe conditions and potential safety risks at work fronts.
Ensure implementation of Job Safety Analysis (JSA), risk assessments, and safe work procedures.
Recommend corrective actions to prevent accidents and unsafe practices.
Ensure workers and subcontractors follow site safety rules, PPE requirements, and safe work practices.
Monitor compliance with statutory safety regulations and company safety guidelines.
Assist in ensuring safe use of equipment, machinery, scaffolding, and lifting operations.
Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for workers and site staff.
Participate in organizing safety training programs and awareness campaigns.
Promote safety awareness across all project activities.
Report accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions to the EHS Manager.
Assist in incident investigations and preparation of safety reports.
Ensure implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Monitor safety practices of subcontractors and labour teams.
Ensure contractors comply with site safety requirements and safety procedures.
Participate in contractor safety meetings and site safety reviews.
Maintain records of site safety inspections, toolbox talks, incident reports, and safety observations.
Prepare daily and weekly safety reports.
Assist in maintaining statutory safety documentation and compliance records.
Good knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations
Experience in hazard identification and safety inspections
Familiarity with risk assessment and incident investigation procedures
Understanding of construction activities and associated safety risks
Proficiency in MS Excel and safety reporting systems
Strong observation and risk identification ability
Good communication and training skills
Ability to enforce safety practices at work fronts
Proactive approach toward accident prevention and safety improvement
