Purpose of the role



To generate the PBWM views on financial markets and strategic asset allocation. 




Accountabilities



  • Provision of expert input and content on investment-related topics.
  • Management of product development initiatives, including oversight of colleagues and their performance, implementation of departmental goals and objectives, oversight of department efficiency and effectiveness. .
  • Relationship management of product development stakeholders, including identifying relevant stakeholders, and maintenance of the quality of external third party services.
  • Development and implementation of policies and procedures for product development.
  • Management of product development risk, including identification of potential risks, development of strategies to mitigate those risks, and maintenance of alignment between the bank’s product development and compliance functions. .
  • Stay up to date with of regulatory changes to ensure that all content provided to clients aligns with current requirements and standards, maintaining compliance and safeguarding the interests of both clients and the PBWM.
  • Organisation and facilitation of the PBWM main internal meetings (GMC and GIC) ensuring smooth coordination and effective communication among stakeholders.

Join us as Market Research where you will play a pivotal role in strengthening the equity research platform, deepening advisory enablement, and enhancing client engagement and thought leadership. You will deliver high-quality equity research, strategy inputs, and client-ready insights while partnering with stakeholders across PBWM to drive advisory conviction, client satisfaction, and retention. This role combines rigorous research with client-facing impact, directly influencing equity allocation decisions and overall investment outcomes.



To be successful in this role, you should:



  • Deliver top-down and bottom-up equity insights including market strategy, sector positioning, and stock recommendations.
  • Build and maintain robust financial models, valuation frameworks, and scenario analyses.
  • Translate earnings, macro trends, and sector developments into actionable, client-relevant insights.
  • Collaborate effectively with Relationship Managers, Investment Specialists, and Product teams to support client discussions.
  • Produce high-quality research notes, thematic reports, and investment ideas with clear, structured communication.
  • Ensure all outputs adhere to governance, compliance, and risk frameworks, including suitability and disclosure standards.
  • Drive process improvements across research coverage, tracking systems, and delivery formats.

Essential Skills / Basic Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of experience in equity research and/or fund management.
  • Strong expertise in financial modelling, valuation, and fundamental research.
  • Experience in equity strategy formulation and thematic idea generation.
  • Ability to communicate complex investment insights in a clear, client-ready format.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment, suitability, and governance standards.
  • MBA (Finance), CFA, or CA preferred.
  • Mandatory certification: NISM Series XV (as per regulatory requirements).
  • Prior sector coverage experience (buy-side or sell-side).

Desirable Skills / Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience within wealth management, brokerage, or institutional research environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management across Investment, Product, Risk, and Frontline teams.
  • Client-centric mindset with high ownership and structured problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to enhance advisory enablement and support revenue realization.
  • Experience in fund/portfolio management systems and operational workflows.
