We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager- Taxation




Purpose of the role:



  • The candidate will be part of the wider regional Tax team and shall support transfer pricing (TP); tax reporting and operational taxes compliances across the Asia-Pacific and MENAT regions.
  • The primary responsibilities of this role will be to support the Tax team in managing compliance with transfer pricing rules; assisting in tax reporting and managing operational tax compliance.  The role will require working with various stakeholders (including other tax colleagues; various finance / operations teams and business teams) in different locations.
  • The role will be based in India and assist the regional Tax teams based in Hong Kong and UAE covering Asia Pacific and MENAT regions.

In this role, you will:



Transfer Pricing



  • Support the regional team in complying with Hong Kong local Transfer pricing documentation requirements; including preparation of documentation reports in accordance with the OECD( Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development) Transfer Pricing Guidelines and Transfer pricing reporting forms
  • Provide support and written responses to tax queries on Transfer pricing matters and assist with site Transfer pricing audit enquiries as needed
  • Support the regional team in second line assurance activities working with Businesses / Functions to identity, document and periodically review intra-group transactions

Tax reporting



  • Support in reviewing tax numbers recorded in the financial reporting books and management of Tax SOX controls on the regional reporting process
  • Assist in the preparation for briefing with global / regional senior management on pre- and post- quarter-end reporting activities
  • Assist in managing the preparation of consolidated regional financial forecasts and stress tests.

Operational tax



  • Assist in managing compliance with operational tax (VAT, GST and Withholding tax) reporting requirements. This includes working with and advising various finance / operations teams on operational tax matters
  • Provide support and written responses to tax queries on tax operational matters and assist with site audit enquiries as needed

To be successful you will:



  • Qualified professional with experience in Transfer pricing and good general knowledge of corporate tax and operational tax.
  • Prior working experience in managing Transfer pricing, Corporate tax and/or operational taxes of at-least 3 to 6 years. 
  • Candidate background may include business, tax, governance, risk and compliance roles within consulting or industry.
  • Candidate should be familiar with banking operating models i.e. aspects of processes, controls, governance and risk.
  • Technology literate and capable of project management with effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure to demanding deadlines.
  • Self-starter with analytical, organisational and time management skills.
