What you’ll be doing


The Engine Expert is responsible for technical ownership, performance optimization, diagnostics, and lifecycle management of engines used in construction and mining equipment. The role involves close collaboration with OEMs, internal engineering teams, service networks, and customers to ensure reliability, emissions compliance, fuel efficiency, and uptime across the equipment fleet.


  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for engines used in construction and mining equipment across power ranges
  • Lead engine integration activities including cooling systems, air intake, exhaust after-treatment, mounting, and driveline interfaces
  • Provide advanced diagnostics and root cause analysis (RCA) for engine-related failures in field and factory
  • Support field service teams and dealers in resolving complex engine issuessuch as:
    • Overheating
    • Abnormal vibrations/noise
    • Power derations
    • Excessive fuel or oil consumption
    • After-treatment or emission system failures
  • Analyze failure trends using telematics, warranty data, and field reports.
  • Drive corrective and preventive action (CAPA) execution across product lines.
  • Support engine emission certification, documentation, and audit requirements.
  • Develop and review engine service manuals, maintenance schedules, and troubleshooting guides
  • Ensure best practices in engine installation, commissioning, and overhaul.

What skills & experience you’ll bring to us


  1. Diploma in Mechanical, electrical, automobile with 10-20 years’ experience in similar earthmoving industry
  2. Deep expertise on all issues relating to engines and it's troubleshooting & maintenance
  3. Possess good written and oral communication skills in English and local language.
  4. Ready to travel extensively and work on machines.
  5. Working knowledge on computers (MS Office)
