Job description

1. Production Planning & Scheduling



  • Prepare weekly and monthly production plans based on demand forecasts, sales orders, and demand targets.
  • Convert rolling plans into workable daily/weekly production line scheduling.
  • Align planning with machine capacity, manpower availability, and changeover time.
  • Coordinate with Production, QA, QC, Warehouse to ensure schedule adherence.

2. Material Requirement Planning (MRP)



  • Run MRP to calculate raw material (RM), packaging material (PM),
  • Release PRs/indent requests to procurement based on lead times and stock levels.
  • Track supplier deliveries and escalate delays or shortages.

3. Inventory Management



  • Maintain optimal inventory levels of RM/PM/WIP/FG to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
  • Monitor slow-moving, near-expiry, and non-moving inventory and take corrective actions.

4. Coordination & Communication



  • Act as a key link between Production, Procurement, QC, QA, Warehouse, and Sales.
  • Conduct daily/weekly planning meetings with cross‑functional teams.

5. Data Management & Reporting



  • Maintain planning records, capacity utilization, and production performance metrics.
  • Generate reports such as schedule adherence, material consumption, yield variance, inventory status, and forecast accuracy.

Key Skills & Competencies



  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Strong Excel and data interpretation skills
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes (OSD, Liquids, etc.)
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline-oriented environment
