Manager - Product Development , Network Products
Overview
The Manager, Network Products will join a team driving new innovative products and services for Mastercard’s global core payments network. The successful candidate will help define our technology, leading efforts from an initial problem statement and analysis, through development of options, presentation to leadership, leading into implementation. The role will involve data and financial analysis and close review of the technical functioning of our systems – and will also demand the ability to develop a strong business understanding of market needs and to assess the costs and benefits of alternative solutions to Mastercard and to customers. It will call for close collaboration with internal technical teams, regional market-facing teams and customers, product teams and other business owners within Mastercard to identify needs, shape our approach, and drive alignment around our proposals.
Role
Work closely with Delivery managers, Product managers, Software engineers, User experience leads, and internal customers to define the details behind the business requirements, the specifications, the user experience, and the API strategy for the platforms building blocks.
Define, document and track clear business / product requirements.
Use data to drive requirements, and make objective decisions.
Define Non functional requirements for the product in terms of performance, availability, reliability etc.
Help to document technical/business documentation for customers to understand product capabilities and use them.
Demo product features to customers as well as accept features developed by development team. Oversee rapid prototyping and iterative design efforts for a select subset of MasterCard products Other Areas.
Participate to develop product strategy for adoption by different types of customers as well as ability to articulate benefits for customers.
Define priorities for development team to work upon as well as manage the roadmap of the product along with other product managers.
Identify dependency and work with other product managers to prioritize dependencies in order to keep product road map realistic.

All About You
A record of successful product management of software applications as an individual, team leader and/or product manager.
Quick and objective decision making abilities.
Prior product management experience in switching/transaction processing product companies or domestic switch networks will be an added advantage.
Prior Product management experience in financial services
Initiative-taker and adaptive learner with ability to work independently
Ability to thrive in challenging environments; flexibility to manage rapidly changing scenarios
Ability to work with ambiguity and manage complex projects; successfully manage multiple responsibilities and tasks
Strong analytical, data and critical thinking skills

Ability to interact with varying levels of leadership across the organization and with internal and external clients; ability to lead and influence at all levels
