Responsibilities:
·Works closely with clients to support their accounting and reporting needs, providing financial information for business decisions, and becomes a trusted advisor to our clients by delivering our expertise in a timely and personal way
·Manages completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of client deliverables, utilizes various technologies to add value to the client experience, and manages project scope and change control, escalating issues where necessary
·Assists in the creation or expansion of accounting policies and procedures and supports processing teams by reviewing and approving their work
· Periodically prepares and/or reviews account reconciliations, reviews journal entries prepared by team members, and facilitates updates needed to the general ledger and other data requirements
·Interfaces with clients and coordinates with team through virtual processes and platforms, serving as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and resolving accounting and financial reporting issues in a timely manner
·Performs overview of financial statements for inconsistencies and opportunities of increased revenue generation or cost savings, and leads the preparation and analysis of financial reports, including cash flow statements, budget comparisons, and variance analysis ensuring compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards
·Coordinates annual audit and/or tax return with outside CPA firm and provides guidance and support to junior staff, ensuring they understand client requirements and deadlines
·Develops and maintains strong client relationships by providing proactive financial insights and recommendations, supports business development initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance service offerings and improve client satisfaction, and develops technical solutions to new or highly complex problems while staying abreast of business, industry, and market information that may reveal opportunities or risks.
Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. CA or CPA preferred. If not a CA or CPA, must meet educational requirements to obtain CA or CPA license upon hire
·Minimum 5 years of accounting experience required; with at least 1 year of related experience as a Manager
·Advanced knowledge of all aspects of accounting including, but not limited to, full scope general ledger accounting, processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and employee benefits, and preparation and review of financial statements, monthly close process, supporting schedules and other such schedules
·Capabilities reading, analyzing, and interpreting financial documents with an ability to respond to common inquiries from clients
·Strong people and project management skills, along with excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
·Strong understanding of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards, with experience with QuickBooks Online, Intacct, NetSuite and other cloud accounting tools preferred. Advanced technology skill using Microsoft Office
·Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
·Client-focused with a proven track record of delivering high-quality service and maintaining strong client relationships; Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·Ability to direct, develop, and coach team members; Experience in autonomous decision making weighing the costs, benefits, risk and chances for success
