HEAD OF IT AND SYSTEMS
Purpose of Role
To lead and manage the school’s IT infrastructure and systems so that all campuses have secure, reliable and efficient hardware, software, data and network services, thereby enabling smooth academic and administrative operations and supporting the development and implementation of improved technology solutions
Role Definition
Overall responsibility of the IT Infrastructure and manage the schools IT requirements and there by effectively support the school in creating new systems and upkeep of the existing ones.

Tasks & Activities
Responsible for maintaining the entire IT infrastructure of all campuses. Support and maintain the infrastructure to ensure day-to-day smooth running, with minimal downtime, of all services for staff and students. Analyzing new requirements, advising the purchase department with the authorization of the board. Procurement of hardware, software, and telecoms services, with approval from the management, to facilitate ongoing replacements and meet the needs of students and staff. Troubleshooting complaints related to IT, telephone lines, printers, bio metric machines and ensure timely addressing and delivery. Check and inspect the purchased materials and install them in the required areas. Server Maintenance, Space Allocation and data backup of Installed programs Proper upkeep of Service report and submission to the management for periodical review. Maintenance register for Computers, printers, phones, biometric devices, servers – Date, Equipment with model number/Capacity (Unique Serial number), Location, Date of Purchase, Date of Maintenance, Spares Serviced, Spares Changed, Cost and Signature of systems admin. (Google drive) Maintenance of stock and movement register for all IT equipments, telecommunication equipments and bio metric devices. All the above equipment has to be numbered by unique serial number for each device. Maintenance of Students Laptop, Servicing, software finalizing and installing with management and academic director approval. Periodic audit /check on student’s laptop on unauthorized OS, Software and content. In case of misuse, confiscate those laptops and bring it to the notice of the academic heads before taking actions Maintenance of Firewall and Security. Writing rules for website access for internet users and there by prevent any access to malicious websites and prevention of troubles and problems arising out of it. Monitor the IP Address and usage of internet controls that is inappropriate and bring to the notice of the management. Monitor the Internet usage and download of materials in order to distribute the load for effective use of internet speed and prevent downtime. Purchase of required software and Maintenance of licenses so as to ensure legal compliance for by regular policing of installed software. Warranty management and monitoring. Domain Purchase and maintenance of the same. Creation and allocation of email ids and monitoring them (tipse.in and tipse.info) Stock Update & Movement update to be updated to the management every month. Monitor the recordings and position of all CCTV cameras across all campuses. Provide recordings to the requested department after approval of the management. Ensure one year recording is maintained. Ensure all the IT Equipments are properly maintained and serviced. In case of outside service, create out pass for the product, record in the movement register and security gate before taking it outside the campus. Any IT issues are registered through E-Facility helpdesk and the IT team to address the issue and complete the task through helpdesk Support the academic team and admin team in hardware and software issues to allow smooth functioning. Contribute to the academics by suggesting latest development in IT that can add value to teaching and learning
