Finance Manager

Location: Gurgaon, India

Professional Background: Chartered Accountant/MBA

The role exists to act as a finance partner to business and commercial teams, ensuring that financial insight, performance management, and strategic decision‑making are data‑driven, commercially sound, and scalable across fast‑moving businesses. The position goes beyond accounting to influence pricing, growth strategy, cost discipline, and long‑term planning.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business & Commercial Finance Partnering

• Partner with business leaders to evaluate revenue models, pricing strategies, customer profitability, and investment decisions.

  
  
  

• Act as a finance advisor to sales, marketing, operations, and leadership teams, translating numbers into clear business actions.

  
  
  

• Support new initiatives, product launches, and market expansions with financial feasibility analysis.

  
  
  

2. Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting (FP&A)

• Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long‑range business plans.

  
  
  

• Build scenario models to assess risks and opportunities under different business conditions.

  
  
  

• Track performance against plan, explain variances, and recommend corrective actions.

  
  
  

3. Performance Management & Reporting

• Design and own management dashboards, MIS, and KPI frameworks for leadership decision making.

  
  
  

• Present financial insights and narratives in leadership reviews (strong presentation skills), enabling faster and better decisions.

  
  
  

• Ensure financial data integrity while maintaining speed and relevance.

  
  
  

4. Cost, Margin & Profitability Management

• Drive cost optimization initiatives across functions while protecting growth‑critical investments.

  
  
  

• Analyze gross margin, contribution margin, and operating leverage to improve profitability.

  
  
  

• Challenge cost structures and highlight efficiency areas.

  
  
  

5. Cross‑Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with cross‑functional and geographically diverse teams (including APAC exposure).

  
  
  

• Mentor junior finance team members and promote a business‑oriented finance mindset.

  
  
  

6. Strategic & Ad‑hoc Analysis

• Conduct deep‑dive analyses on strategic questions of resource allocation, long range growth plans & market scenarios.

  
  
  

• Support leadership in deal evaluation, investment decisions, and strategic reviews when required.
