Safety & Security Manager


Reporting To:

Head of Corporate Security, Safety, Wellness, and Travel & Expat Management


Job Overview:

The Safety & Security Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety and security policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with ISO 45001 standards. The role involves ensuring the safety and well-being of employees and visitors, protecting company assets, and fostering a safe and secure work environment across MBRDI locations in India.


Key Responsibilities:

• Manage site security operations across all MBRDI locations in India, including deployment and optimization of guarding contract staff.
• Coordinate emergency and crisis management activities, including risk analysis, scenario drills, BCP coordination, stakeholder communication, and management advisory.
• Conduct fire protection trainings and evacuation drills as per Government of India regulations and local requirements.
• Support and manage security-related project activities for new location projects and organizational expansion.
• Conduct security and safety risk assessments for existing offices, future expat housing, company events, and other business requirements.
• Coordinate travel security, expat security, incident management, local investigations, and preventive actions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
• Manage identity and authorization activities, including access control, badge printing, parking management, and security infrastructure planning.
• Review vendor SLAs, manage vendor deployment, billing, service quality reporting, and renewal-related inputs for guarding and security infrastructure services.
• Implement and monitor Occupational Health & Safety Management System requirements across MBRDI sites in accordance with ISO 45001 and corporate guidelines.
• Manage wellness center operations, ergonomics programs, safety incident reporting, and employee safety training initiatives.


Required Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 15 years of experience in safety and security management roles.
• Strong experience in site security operations, crisis management, emergency response, fire protection, and travel security.
• Extensive knowledge of ISO 45001 standards, Occupational Health & Safety regulations, and corporate safety/security processes.
• Experience in vendor management, SLA review, service quality monitoring, and coordination with finance and service providers.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments, audits, investigations, and recommend preventive actions.
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in OH&S management systems, security protocols, and safety/security management software.
• Ability to train and mentor employees on safety, security, emergency response, and workplace health practices.


Qualifikationen Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health, Safety Management, Security Management, or a related field.
• University degree with substantial experience in the field of security management.
• Lead Auditor ISO 45001:2019 certification.
• Lead Auditor ISO 22301:2019 certification.
• NEBOSH / IOSH certification or equivalent certification in health and safety management.


Preferred Qualifications — Good to Have:

• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, CSP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Experience in managing corporate crisis situations and emergency response procedures.
• Exposure to corporate security structures, business continuity planning, and stakeholder communication.
• Experience in coordinating with local law enforcement, emergency services, regional security officers, and global corporate security teams.
• Prior experience in managing safety and security operations across multiple locations.
• Experience in event security, personal protection coordination, expat housing security assessments, and travel security operations.


Work Environment:

This role requires a balance of office work and fieldwork, including site inspections, audits, emergency drills, and coordination across multiple MBRDI locations. The role may also involve occasional travel to other company locations or for training and project-related requirements.
