Job Title: Manager – Agentic AI, Automation support



Job Location: Chennai



The is responsible for configuring, deploying, operating, and continuously improving autonomous, goaldriven automation solutions built using UiPath and Agentic AI capabilities, based on priorities defined by BUIT. The role focuses on lowcode / nocode configuration of agentic systems—AI agents that can reason, plan, act, and collaborate across workflows—while ensuring solutions are robust, observable, costefficient, secure, and ethically compliant in production. This role forms a critical execution layer between business processes, autonomous AI agents, and the UiPath automation ecosystem.




Key Responsibilities:



  1. Agentic AI & UiPath Configuration and Deployment
  • Configure and deploy Agentic AIenabled automations using UiPath Studio (Desktop/Web), Robots, Orchestrator, and Action Center.
  • Implement autonomous agents capable of:
  • Goal decomposition
  • Task planning and execution
  • Decisionmaking with feedback loops
  • Coordinating across systems and workflows
  • Combine Agentic AI patterns with REFramework to build scalable, resilient automation pipelines.
  • Configure agent behaviors, tools, constraints, memory, and termination conditions within UiPath workflows.
  • Enable humanintheloop interactions using Action Center for exceptions, approvals, and agent intervention.
  1. Data Preparation, Knowledge Grounding & Learning Support
  • Prepare, annotate, and validate structured and unstructured datasets used by agentic workflows.
  • Configure enterprise knowledge sources (documents, systems, APIs) used by agents for reasoning and decision context.
  • Prepare synthetic data when real data is unavailable or restricted.
  • Support learning loops by capturing agent outcomes, feedback signals, and execution results for optimization.
  1. Agent Reasoning, Orchestration & Tool Use
  • Configure multistep agent reasoning flows, including:
  • Task sequencing and branching
  • Tool selection and execution
  • Exception recovery strategies
  • Enable agents to invoke:
  • UiPath automations
  • APIs and Integration Service connectors
  • External enterprise systems
  • Support multiagent coordination, where agents collaborate or hand off tasks across workflows.
  1. Testing, Validation & Responsible Autonomous AI
  • Test autonomous behaviors for correctness, stability, and predictability.
  • Validate agent decisions against business rules, compliance standards, and ethical constraints.
  • Prepare audit trails, execution logs, decision histories, and exception reports.
  • Assess agent behavior for:
  • Bias and unintended actions
  • Explainability and traceability
  • Safe failure and containment mechanisms
  • Ensure compliance with Responsible AI, data privacy, and internal governance standards.
  1. Production Support, Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
  • Monitor deployed agentic automations using UiPath Orchestrator analytics and logs.
  • Track:
  • Task success rates
  • Exception frequency
  • Latency and throughput
  • Cost and resource usage
  • Troubleshoot failed or unstable agent behaviors and implement corrective actions.
  • Continuously refine agent logic, rules, and orchestration based on production feedback.
  1. Platform Operations & Lifecycle Management
  • Manage lifecycle of agentic automations, including:
  • Versioning and controlled releases
  • Rollbacks and upgrades
  • Dependency and registry management
  • Support UiPath platform upgrades while ensuring backward compatibility of agentic workflows.
  • Use Git or UiPath source control to manage configurations and automation assets.
  1. Integration & Technical Enablement
  • Configure agent access to enterprise systems using:
  • UiPath Integration Service
  • REST/SOAP APIs
  • Extend UiPath capabilities using VB.NET or C# for advanced decision logic.
  • Use Python to support AI logic, simulation, decision models, or external reasoning components.
  • Enable secure data exchange between agents, automations, and enterprise platforms.

Required Qualification & Skills:



  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the AgenticAI & UiPath domain
  • Proficiency in VB.NET or C# for UiPath expressions and custom logic.
  • Working experience with Python for AI or decisionlogic extensions.
  • Strong understanding of APIbased system integration.
  • Familiarity with data structures and structured/unstructured data processing.
  • Handson experience with UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, Robots, and Action Center.
  • Strong proficiency in REFramework for scalable enterprise automation.
  • Experience integrating automations with business systems via connectors and APIs.
  • Working knowledge of UiPath source control and deployment pipelines.
  • Practical experience with Agentic AI concepts, including:
  • Goalbased agents
  • Planning and reasoning loops
  • Toolusing agents
  • Feedbackdriven execution
  • Ability to configure decisionmaking agents rather than simple rulebased bots.
  • Experience grounding agent decisions in enterprise data to prevent unsafe or incorrect behavior.
  • Understanding of autonomy boundaries, guardrails, and intervention mechanisms.
  • Experience troubleshooting production automations using Orchestrator logs and metrics.
  • Understanding of autonomous system risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Ability to manage operational SLAs and hypercare for intelligent automation.
  • Experience with version control and controlled release management.
  • Exposure to AI governance, Responsible AI, and autonomous system ethics.
  • Experience working under BUIT or enterprise automation CoE models.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
  • Strong documentation skills for agent behavior, constraints, and escalation paths.
  • Comfortable working with evolving AI capabilities and partial ambiguity.
