Mastercard Open Banking is seeking a Manager – Site Reliability to lead team within a global SRE organization and act as a key contributor to department-wide operational and process standards.

Mission
The Manager – SRE acts as the production readiness steward for their supported platforms while contributing to global SRE standards and operating models.
This role partners with development, product, and peer SRE leaders to ensure operational requirements—availability, performance, capacity, monitoring, automation, and compliance—are consistently embedded across the delivery lifecycle.
The role also focuses on risk mitigation, incident management, and continuous improvement at both the team and global department level.

Responsibilities
• Lead and manage an SRE team, owning performance management, growth, and well-being.
• Maintain a strong team culture through recognition, engagement, and accountability.
• Own capacity planning across BAU operations, project delivery, and development support.
• Partner with product, engineering, and delivery teams on large, complex initiatives.
• Drive and influence SRE processes, standards, and best practices across the global organization.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts across automation, CI/CD, and operational workflows.
• Help oversee incident response, root cause analysis, and blameless postmortems.
• Improve processes to reduce manual effort, mitigate risk, and protect team sustainability.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven people management experience leading engineering teams.
• Strong technical background in enterprise cloud or large-scale production systems.
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
• Ability to influence without direct authority across peer teams and leaders.
• Familiarity with ITSM processes, risk management, and operational governance.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with global, distributed teams.
