ABOUT AIRFREIGHT DEPARTMENT



The Air Freight Operations team plays a pivotal role in managing the import and export of goods by air. Their primary objective is to create and maintain efficient processes, guaranteeing the seamless movement of goods by collaborating with Airline partners, Procurement and Capacity management, network offices, vendors, and customs brokers, ultimately contributing to profitability.



JOB SUMMARY



Responsible for end-to-end order execution and order management in coordination with Network, Order Management, and Execution teams. Ensure timely delivery of customer commitments, monitor KPI performance, manage escalations, and maintain accurate milestone updates and visibility across systems and tools. Act as the primary escalation point for Network and customers across countries & regions while driving operational efficiency and process compliance.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Monitor and manage activities related to order management and execution.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and customer/plant to ensure seamless order processing and execution.
  • Track all open orders to identify and prevent irregularities or delays.
  • Monitor order-level performance and ensure adherence to defined KPIs and SLAs.
  • Provide timely updates and feedback to Customers/Plants and Network teams.
  • Handle exception management and drive resolution of operational issues.
  • Act as the escalation point for Customers/Plants and Network-related concerns.
  • Monitor and analyse KPI performance to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate tracking of pending orders to avoid timeline misses and delivery delays.
  • Resolve queries raised by Network teams and Customers/Plants in a timely manner.
  • Participate in periodic review meetings with Customers/Plants and other stakeholders.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

  • 8-10 years of experience in logistics or airline.
  • Experience managing a team of at least 3-4 people.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.

  • Promptly address operational challenges and make data-driven decisions.

Preferred



  • Post-graduate degree is preferred.
  • Experience of working at a multinational freight forwarding company.
