You'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of maintenance services, supporting the Maintenance Manager, and leading your team to deliver exceptional results. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Industrial, Engineering, EHS, Quality, and SCM). and continuous improvement initiatives.


You’ll specifically take care of team management and operational excellence, but also ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

  • Identify, lead and deliver continuous improvements to train safety performance, depot reliability, performance, and efficiency.
  • Good communication skills and report writing capability
  • Delivering start-of-shift and end-of-shift briefings to ensure alignment and clarity.
  • Ensuring compliance with EHS policies and fostering a safe working environment.
  • Encouraging continuous improvement and supporting process optimization initiatives.
  • Developing skills and identifying training needs to enhance overall performance.

MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES


Educational Requirements Describe the minimum educational requirement/level


  • A Diploma/ITI in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in rolling stock or under Indian railways as A loco pilot/Operator, preferably 3-5 years.
  • Knowledge of rail depot operations and industry regulations.
  • Identify the possible depot movements between different areas: Transfer, Stabling, Workshop, Test track, Washing Machine, Wheel turn lathe, Servicing & Cleaning area
  • Describe the required Loco movement preparation according to each mode (Self-propelled, degraded, automatic, remotely controlled, multiple unit, shunter, etc... )
  • Safe and Efficient Movement of Locomotives within the Depot.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under stringent timelines.
  • Perform shunting Operations safely and Efficiently
  • Proficiency in English and Hindi.
  • Carrying Out Handing and Taking Over of Locomotives with Customer ( IR)
