  1. Design & Optimization
    • Knowledge and experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing welding procedures, techniques, and systems to ensure structural integrity and reliability of welded components.
  2. Process Review & Material Selection
    • Ability to review and approve welding processes.
    • Expertise in selecting appropriate welding consumables and materials for various applications, including carbon steels, stainless steels, and exotic alloys.
  3. Standards & Compliance
    • Sound knowledge of national and international codes and standards governing welding processes and qualifications, such as ASME and AWS.
  4. Welding Techniques
    • Proficiency in advanced welding techniques, including: 
      • Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG)
      • Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG)
      • Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
  5. Procedure Development
    • Extensive experience in developing and qualifying: 
      • Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
      • Procedure Qualification Records (PQR)
    • Familiarity with various NDT techniques for weld inspection.
  6. Troubleshooting & Analysis
    • Strong ability to troubleshoot welding defects and quality issues.
    • Experience in conducting failure analysis and testing.
  7. Equipment & Costing
    • Knowledge of welding equipment and ability to estimate the cost of welding processes.
  8. Collaboration
    • Ability to work closely with design, manufacturing, and quality control teams to ensure seamless integration of welding processes.
