Introduction to the team

Travel Partnerships and Advertising helps partners deliver excellent traveler and B2B experiences, driving growth for them and the EG marketplace through competitive supply, a valued advertising and travel media network, and affiliate solutions.

Within this division, the Air Partner Solutions team ensures that air operations run smoothly for our airline partners and travelers, while continuously improving performance, reliability, and partner experience. As Lead Partner Solutions, Air, you will act as the senior technical specialist for complex airline content, configuration, and live-site investigations, working closely with teams across APAC, EMEA, and NORAM.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead end-to-end investigation and remediation of the most critical production issues (shopping, pricing, booking, ticketing, fares/ancillaries), deep-diving logs/configs/data flows and driving tested, durable fixes with engineering.
  • Own systemic issue management by using data to detect recurring patterns, quantify business impact, and run cross-team remediation programs that address root causes and reduce incident recurrence.
  • Design, code and maintain technical tooling and automation using Splunk, Python, SQL, Tableau, XML and APIs (dashboards, alerts, scripts, workflows) to detect anomalies, accelerate investigations and improve operational efficiency.
  • Act as a trusted technical/operational partner to Product, Technology, Air Commercial, Transport Services and others, translating investigations into concrete product/tech requirements and influencing priorities with data-driven insights and partner feedback.
  • Serve as subject-matter expert on air platform behaviour, GDS/BFS/LCC connectivity, fare filing and pricing logic, validating solution designs, unblocking complex investigations and guiding teams through edge cases and strategic changes.
  • Establish and continuously improve standards and playbooks for investigation, documentation and communication; lead cross-functional improvement initiatives and mentor APS analysts globally to raise technical depth, rigor and stakeholder communication.

Experience and qualifications

  • You have 6+ years of experience in air operations, air content management, or a closely related area, with hands-on ownership of investigations and process implementation.
  • You have deep practical experience with airline distribution and operations, including GDS (for example Amadeus, Sabre, Travelport), and a solid understanding of fares, pricing, ticketing, and ancillaries; experience with NDC or LCC connectivity is a plus.
  • You are proficient using and creating dashboards, alerts, and queries in Splunk or similar tools, and comfortable working with Tableau, SQL, Python, and large data sets to investigate and solve problems.
  • You can read and compare XML/JSON payloads and APIs to troubleshoot integrations configuration issues between internal systems and external airline or GDS partners.
  • You are comfortable using modern AI tools and code assistants (for example Claude or similar) to prototype scripts, automate investigations, and accelerate tooling development, while retaining strong ownership of the underlying logic and code quality.
  • You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences, can summarize complex issues into simple narratives, and are comfortable influencing stakeholders without formal people management responsibility.
  • You enjoy mentoring others, sharing knowledge, and helping teams adopt more effective ways of working; you can point to concrete examples where you improved a process, introduced a new tool or dashboard, or reduced repeat issues.
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in a related field; or equivalent related professional experience.
