Job Description

We are looking for a visionary and highly experienced Lead – Design Manager to drive design excellence across products, platforms, and brand initiatives. The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on expertise in managing large design teams, shaping design direction, and aligning design outcomes with business strategy.


Key Responsibilities


Design Leadership & Strategy


  • Define and own the organization’s design vision, principles, and standards
  • Partner with business, product, engineering, and leadership teams to translate strategy into impactful design solutions
  • Drive design thinking and user/customer-centricity across initiatives
  • Champion innovation, usability, accessibility, and scalability in design

People & Stakeholder Management


  • Lead, mentor, and grow multi-disciplinary design teams (UX, UI, Visual, Product, Brand, etc.)
  • Set clear goals, conduct performance reviews, and build leadership capability within the design team
  • Act as a senior design advisor to leadership and key stakeholders
  • Manage engagement with external agencies, consultants, and vendors

Execution & Governance


  • Oversee end-to-end design delivery across multiple complex programs
  • Establish and govern design processes, frameworks, and best practices
  • Ensure design quality, consistency, and adherence to brand/system guidelines
  • Review and approve critical design outputs and key milestones

Operational Excellence


  • Plan design capacity, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
  • Drive efficiencies through design systems, reusable assets, and tooling
  • Measure design effectiveness using qualitative and quantitative metrics
  • Ensure smooth collaboration across distributed and cross-functional teams

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience


  • 15–18 years of overall experience in Design leadership / Design management
  • Proven experience leading large teams and complex design portfolios
  • Strong expertise in design strategy, systems thinking, and user experience
  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
  • Experience working in fast-paced, matrixed organizations
  • Solid understanding of design tools and platforms (Figma, Adobe Suite, Sketch, etc.)
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on guidance
