This role offers you the unique opportunity to design the digital backbone of our production environment, ensuring complex scientific processes are translated into reliable, executable digital formats.Description of the areaWithin RDT Pharma Technical Operations and specifically in the context of Manufacturing Technologies, this Solution Architect for Process Data ensures the seamless fit of our manufacturing business solutions into the Roche ecosystem. This is crucial for implementing and running stable, robust, and highly performing solutions while maximizing the return on investment (ROI) on our manufacturing data. The Process Data area is part of the digital backbone of our production environment, ensuring that complex scientific processes are translated into reliable, executable, and reportable digital formats.Our scope includes:

• Process Parameter Definition & Tracking: Ensuring the precision and integrity of data that defines our manufacturing steps.
• Enterprise Recipe Management: Orchestrating the "blueprints" for our medicines across different sites to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Data Historian Solutions: Managing the high-frequency, real-time data streams from the shop floor to enable deep analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous process improvement.
• Shop-Floor Data Accessibility: Streamlining the extraction and availability of raw manufacturing data to ensure it is readily accessible for higher-level systems, analytics, and operational decision-making.

The Opportunity:

• Design and deliver business-driven, standards-based, and future-ready solutions within a complex, multiple-product context.
• Lead the evolution of architecture throughout the product life cycle, ensuring alignment with global enterprise standards and governance.
• Translate complex requirements into Conceptual and Logical Data Models, Taxonomies, and Ontologies to maximize the ROI of manufacturing data.
• Orchestrate "blueprints" for medicines via Enterprise Recipe Management to ensure production consistency and scalability across global sites.
• Drive technical oversight by defining reference architectures, patterns, and Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) for product teams.
• Manage technical debt and improve existing solutions by researching, piloting, and adopting cutting-edge technologies.
• Solve complex problems using sophisticated analytical thought to identify innovative solutions that enhance value and business processes.
• Maintain the vision and roadmap for multiple solutions, assessing the impacts of new initiatives on the existing application landscape.

Who you are:

• Educated Professional with a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant field; you possess a deep understanding of the product discovery lifecycle.
• Experienced Architect with a demonstrated track record of designing solutions within complex or multiple-product contexts.
• Industry Expert with 2+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated healthcare technology industry.
• Manufacturing IT Specialist with 2+ years of experience specifically with pharmaceutical manufacturing IT solutions and Enterprise Recipe Management systems.
• Technical Leader proficient in GxP, FAIR data principles, and data privacy regulations (GDPR) to ensure compliant solution design.
• Strategic Collaborator with exceptional negotiation skills, capable of communicating difficult concepts and influencing stakeholders globally.
• Proactive Innovator ready to mentor others, drive external technology trends, and travel up to 20% to support our global mission.
