To strengthen our Tower and Foundation team, we are seeking an Intern. For all our wind farm projects, the department is responsible for performing site-specific wind turbine load calculations and support structure design, with a focus on the primary (load-carrying) structure.
The Design Tools (DT) team is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the existing codebase—primarily in MATLAB—while also introducing new functionality across the toolchain, largely developed in Python. Key drivers for our software development include engineering process automation (e.g., structural load calculations) and delivering an excellent user experience for more than a hundred engineers from diverse technical backgrounds.
The DT team operates in a DevOps environment to continuously improve software quality and feature delivery. The core DT team is based in The Hague (Netherlands), with team members also located in Bengaluru (India) and Spain.
Collaborate with the team to add new functionality, enhance features, and maintain an extensively used engineering toolchain
Actively support interactions with end users (engineers) and business stakeholders
Assist in debugging and troubleshooting production software issues
Develop high-quality code with appropriate testing and documentation, following software development best practices
Strong programming skills, preferably in MATLAB and Python
Proficiency in MS Office tools
Strong communication skills with proficiency in English (reading and writing)
Ability to work effectively in an international and diverse environment
Flexible, open-minded, and proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement
