Intern, Textile Engineering



(11 Month onsite internship)




What you will do:



The individual will work as an individual contributor who will be part of a team working on following:



  • Provide engineering support for product transfer and process development, ensuring all activities are executed and documented in full compliance with Stryker procedures and regulatory requirements.



  • Ensure process and product quality in accordance with approved material, manufacturing, and operational specifications.



  • Develop and actively participate in PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Validation, SOP development, and PPAP activities to support robust manufacturing processes.



  • Conduct and review Measurement System Analysis (MSA) studies to ensure data integrity and measurement accuracy.



  • Ensure adherence to GMP and safety procedures as applicable in industry.




What you need:



  • ME/MTech in Textile Engineering, Textile Technology, Fiber Science, Textile Chemistry or related field from premier institutes



  • Knowledge of technical textiles, medical grade high‑performance fabrics, and with hands-on understanding of RF welding, heat sealing, and cut‑and‑sew manufacturing processes.



  • Knowledge of fabric forming technologies including weaving, knitting, and nonwoven fabric manufacturing.



  • Knowledge of chemical finishes, mechanical finishes, surface coatings, and other value‑added fabric finishing processes.



  • Understanding of fabric testing methods including tensile, abrasion resistance, flammability, and related performance evaluations.



  • Understanding on Quality Management (ISO 13485 or 21 CFR 820) and Medical Device Risk Management



  • Adaptable to work with multiple teams and collaborating across geographically spread multi-functional teams.



  • Good knowledge of computer applications and excellent presentation skills.
