HR Technologist (Workday Learning & Talent)
Support the design, configuration, and implementation of Workday functionalities, with a primary focus on talent management and learning modules.
Partner with business stakeholders and L&D leads to configure and optimize Workday and related talent & learning technologies for evolving business needs.
Act as a point of contact for business process configuration, assisting in integration testing and collaborating with Johnson Controls IT and external vendors.
Work with content curators and HR teams to develop strategies for learner groups and ensure seamless delivery through Workday Learning.
Troubleshoot configuration and system issues coordinating with IT, content vendors, and Workday support to resolve problems efficiently.
Plan, coordinate, and execute testing efforts for system changes, ensuring all functionalities perform as expected.
Proactively identify opportunities to enhance business processes and improve user experience within Workday and other HR technology solutions.
Provide post-production support for Workday modules related to talent management and learning, ensuring all KPIs are met.
Track, analyze, and report key metrics to stakeholders, developing reporting templates and generating both ad-hoc and standardized reports for business leaders.
Coach and mentor content curators, end-user support teams, and L&D team members on Workday Learning and Talent features.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience with Workday functional configurations, preferably in talent management and learning. Previous experience as an LMS Administrator or similar HR technology role is highly desirable.
Expertise: Deep understanding of one or more Workday functional areas such as Talent Core, Learning, or Business Process. Experience managing LMS/LXP is a plus.
Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of client-side web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, XML) and LMS communication standards – SCORM/AICC/xAPI. Proficient in MS Excel.
Systems Analysis: Functional knowledge of HR Management processes, with strong systems analysis and troubleshooting skills.
Professionalism: Demonstrates high ethical standards, quality work, ability to work under pressure, and a positive attitude.
Teamwork: Effective collaborator with strong teaming skills, comfortable working with global and remote teams.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with partners and stakeholders.
Analytical & Organizational Skills: Strong analytical mindset, able to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a self-motivated, organized manner.
Tech Savvy: Passion for troubleshooting, exploring, and learning new HR technologies to continuously drive improvements.
