Amazon is seeking an Sr.Program Manager to lead the Reusable Containers Program (RCP) as Head - RCP. This strategic role will drive the scaling of reusable container capabilities across Amazon's supply chain ecosystem, delivering a triple win: sustainability impact through reduced corrugated usage, significant cost savings (INR 100+ Crores annually), and enhanced customer experience through reduced product damages. The program has the potential to expand to additional use cases with an estimated INR 150+ Crores in additional annual impact.
This role requires a leader who can operate at scale, influence senior leadership without authority, and drive complex cross-functional initiatives across multiple business lines within the Amazon ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Program Leadership
(i) Own end-to-end strategy and execution for scaling RCP across multiple use cases and business lines within Amazon's ecosystem
(ii) Develop containerization strategy across IN_Ops Core network to end-customer delivery, expanding reusability scope in newer networks with existing PFS assets, reducing losses and bringing in reverse leg optimisation.
(iii) Define and execute multi-year roadmap (OP1/OP2 & 3YP) with internal and external stakeholders along tracking monthly program milestones.
(iv) Launch new reusable assets to reduce packaging costs and damages while driving sustainability impact and secure end-customer delivery with improved speed and productivity across the entire Core network
Cross-Functional Execution & Stakeholder Management
(i) Build execution plans in collaboration with Miles, ATS, Product, OEMs, and larger stakeholder groups with ownership of phased expansion. Influence leadership (L7s & L8s) across Core & GSF networks to drive alignment and decision-making.
(ii) Work with stakeholders to define BRDs, product roadmaps, enable UAT, and launch new product features in partnership with Product-Tech teams to drive automation
Financial & Operational Ownership
(i) Own and manage RCP program P&L, driving financial and cost decisions with accountability for significant cost improvements across defined networks
Benchmarking & Expansion
(i) Launch newer use cases toward expansion of Last Mile Pick-up for reusable container usage.
(ii) Scale RCP capabilities to support future use cases (e.g., customer shipments in reusable packaging)
- 8+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- Experience in program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or a related field
