An Ideal Candidate:
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has built and shipped system-level software before, understands what it takes to run safely on customer machines, and is excited to define engineering standards from day one.
Key Competencies:
Own the end-to-end design and evolution of the endpoint agent, including sensors, on-device logic, local actions, buffering, and secure communication.
Lead and grow a high-caliber, senior engineering team across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Set and enforce engineering excellence standards—code quality, performance discipline, testing rigor, and operational readiness.
Define and manage strict performance and reliability budgets (CPU, memory, disk, battery, startup impact).
Drive safe and scalable integration of third-party security engines into the agent pipeline.
Partner closely with Backend, Detection, and Product teams to define event contracts, data ownership, and on-device vs. off-device responsibilities.
