Your responsibilities

You will be part of our global Automation organization and assume responsibility for the strategic development, standardization and execution of automation solutions for electrolysis projects, including green hydrogen (AWE), chlor-alkali and HCl electrolysis technologies.


In this role, you will lead and develop an automation team covering Automation Innovation & Technology, Automation Product Development, and Automation Project Execution, ensuring future-oriented, scalable and high-quality automation solutions as well as reliable project delivery.


Leadership & Organization


  • Disciplinary and technical leadership of the automation team, including onboarding, mentoring and continuous development of team members
  • Planning, prioritization and allocation of automation engineering tasks within customer projects and product development programs
  • Ensuring sufficient resource availability, skills development and knowledge transfer within the team
  • Conducting regular alignment meetings with the automation leadership and lead engineers

Technical & Quality Responsibility


Overall responsibility for the quality, completeness and timely delivery across three key areas:


  • Innovation & Technology
  • Product Development
  • Project Execution
  • Focus on long-term competitiveness of our automation solutions:
    • Monitoring market demands on technology trends in automation system architectures and platforms
    • Modularization, reusability and productization of automation assets ensuring scalability, maintainability and lifecycle sustainability
    • Reliable and efficient project execution
  • Ensuring compliance with automation standards, engineering guidelines and project-specific requirements
  • Acting as an escalation point for technical questions and coordination topics within automation engineering

Interface & Coordination


  • Establish effective collaboration between innovation & technology, product development and project execution within the automation team
  • Acting as the central interface between the automation team at tk nucera India and:
    • Automation teams at other tk nucera engineering locations and support offices
    • Project and program teams
  • Aligning local engineering capacity with project and program needs and strategic goals

Continuous Improvement


  • Driving efficiency improvements, standardization and reusability within automation engineering
  • Improvement, implementation and rollout of global automation standards
  • Supporting digitalization initiatives, tool improvements and optimized engineering workflows
  • Actively contributing to lessons learned and continuous improvement processes across global automation



Your profile
  • Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical discipline
  • Several years of professional experience in Automation Engineering within industrial plant or process engineering projects
  • Proven experience in technical and/or disciplinary leadership of engineering teams, preferably in a global setup
  • Strong hands-on experience with industrial automation systems and hardware, including SAS and PLC platforms from leading manufacturers.
  • Solid understanding of automation architectures, engineering workflows, and quality requirements in customer projects
  • Ability to balance strategic innovation, standardization and hands-on project execution needs
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and decision-making skills
  • Structured, reliable, and solution-oriented working style with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and accountability
  • Excellent communication skills and intercultural competence
  • Very good English skills, both written and verbal
  • Motivation to build, develop and lead a high-performing automation team in a global engineering organization.
