Key Responsibilities:



  • Assist in the product development of centrifugal pumps and related components
  • Prepare engineering drawings, 3D models, assemblies and relevant bill of material
  • Perform basic mechanical calculations
  • Support product improvement initiatives
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical discussions
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and procurement teams for project execution

Must have competencies:



  • Strong fundamentals in Mechanical Engineering (thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, strength of materials)
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of engineering drawings including Tolerances and GD&T
  • Sound mechanical calculation skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a technical environment
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Good to have competencies:



  • Exposure to pump design or rotating equipment
  • Knowledge of hydraulic fundamentals related to pumps
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes (casting, machining, fabrication).
  • Knowledge of engineering standards
  • Internship/project experience in mechanical design
  • Exposure to Python-based design automation and optimization tools will be an added advantage

Technical Skills:



  • Knowledge of CAD tools; experience with Creo will be an added advantage
  • Basic understanding of simulation/analysis tools (optional)
  • Proficiency in MS Excel for engineering calculations
  • Ability to develop Python-based tools for design automation and optimization

Education:



Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
