Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your procurement and sourcing expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and dynamic teammates.
You'll play a critical role in supporting sourcing activities across various projects and regions, driving efficiency and cost-effectiveness in procurement processes. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams across the business (engineering, project management, and supply chain), manage vendor relationships, and contribute to the development and delivery of innovative solutions.
You’ll specifically take care of managing end-to-end procurement support for identified commodities, but also ensure compliance with internal controls and ethical standards.
We’ll look to you for:
Development of couplers and gangways across global projects
Negotiation to secure competitive pricing
Panel management and supplier relationship development
Business awards and tender support
Purchase Order (PO) management, including Non-Recurring Cost (NRC) PO creation
Vendor certifications follow-up for new suppliers
First delivery follow-up for materials, including First Article Inspection (FAI)
Costed Bill of Materials (BOM) reporting and cost analysis
Request for Quotation (RFQ) management, including preparation, analysis, and cost comparison
Ensuring compliance with Alstom’s Code of Ethics and adherence to the highest standards of ethical conduct

Engineering Degree (BE/B.Tech)
10+ years of experience in direct procurement within the industry sector
Knowledge and hands-on experience in manufacturing processes
Comprehensive understanding of commodities
Strong knowledge of raw material pricing trends and machinery
Experience with procurement tools such as SAP
Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
