This role will coordinate closely with local taxconsultants and advisors to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant tax filings while supportingthe business with tax planning and risk management.Job Description:
1. Tax Compliance & Reporting:Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance across the US, UK, UAE, and Malaysia andother countries where the business expands in the future.Ensure timely filing of corporate income tax returns, indirect tax (VAT) returns, and other statutory submissions.Review tax computations, returns, and supporting documentation prepared by localconsultants before submission.Monitor changes in local tax laws and assess their impact on the business.
2. Coordination with Local Tax AdvisorsManage relationships with external tax consultants in each operating jurisdiction.Ensure deliverables from advisors are accurate, complete, and submitted within statutory deadlines.Standardize reporting and documentation processes across countries.Facilitate communication between internal finance teams and external tax advisors.
3. Direct & Indirect Tax OversightEnsure proper accounting and reporting of corporate income tax, deferred tax, and transfer pricing where applicable.Oversee VAT/GST/Sales Tax compliance, including reconciliations and audit readiness.Support implementation and compliance with UAE Corporate Tax and VAT regulations.Assist in managing tax registrations, de-registrations, and regulatory filings as the company expands.
4. Tax Risk Management & ControlsEstablish and maintain internal controls around tax processes.Identify potential tax exposures and recommend mitigation strategies.Support internal and external audits related to tax matters.Maintain comprehensive documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
5. Business Support & AdvisoryProvide tax guidance to internal stakeholders on cross-border transactions and new business initiatives.Assist with transfer pricing documentation and intercompany arrangements.Support tax-efficient structuring for new markets or products.
Job Specification:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification (mandatory).
- 2–3 years of post-qualification experience in tax, preferably with exposure to multinational operations.
- Strong knowledge of direct and indirect tax frameworks (Corporate Tax, VAT/GST).
- Experience coordinating with external tax advisors across multiple jurisdictions.
- Familiarity with UK tax systems is highly desirable.
- Experience in startup or high-growth environments is a plus.
