What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world.
Part of Amgen’s R&D Strategy & Operations organization, the R&D Knowledge & Learning team is reimagining how learning, knowledge, and capability development enable scientific excellence and clinical execution. We design and govern learning as an integrated, longitudinal capability system – aligned to roles, risk, and outcomes – rather than a collection of disconnected training events.
As a Senior Manager in Amgen’s R&D Knowledge & Learning organization, you will serve as the Learning Business Partner for select Global Development Operations sub-functions – primarily Clinical Systems and Data Management – with a local base at the Amgen India (AIN) site. Reporting to the R&D AIN Learning Lead, you will design and deliver role-focused, longitudinal learning strategies and operationalize local onboarding and capability programs that enable high-quality clinical operations and data practices.
You will partner closely with local CS and DM leaders to translate business priorities into actionable learning roadmaps, work with local Learning team members and business SMEs to deliver learning solutions (instructor-led, virtual, microlearning, and knowledge-enabled point-of-need assets) and ensure all learning activities meet Amgen learning standards and GxP/Quality expectations. This role blends strategic capability design with hands-on program delivery to drive measurable adoption, competency, and performance outcomes.
Responsibilities
Global to Local Learning Strategy & Partnership
Partner with business SMEs to co-develop and deliver the local learning strategy and roadmap for Clinical Systems and Data Management at AIN, aligned to global capability priorities and local operational needs
Act as the primary learning partner to local CS and DM leaders; translate their strategic objectives into role-based curricula, onboarding plans, and capability uplift initiatives
Provide global onboarding and learning project support anchored in global DM and CS talent development and learning priorities
Onboarding & role readiness
Design and operationalize onboarding programs for local hires and transfers (system access, role-specific training, GxP expectations), ensuring first-day to 90-day readiness for key roles
Develop role personas and competency maps for critical CS/DM roles using stakeholder interviews and job-task analysis
Leverage feedback and business updates to inform recurring updates and enhancements to plans and content
Learning design & delivery
Lead the end-to-end learning material lifecycle for assigned programs: discovery > design > build/buy > launch > sustain > retire, including version control and archival
Oversee blended delivery (ILT, vILT, self-serve, job aids, guided workflows), integrating knowledge management artifacts where appropriate to support point-of-need performance
Evaluate and leverage multiple modes of media and content including AI technologies and applications that drive learning outcomes
Standards, compliance & quality
Ensure all learning assets and delivery approaches comply with Amgen learning standards and GxP/Quality requirements
Partner with GxP Learning, Quality, and Compliance to map GxP training needs and evidence requirements into local programs
Measurement, analytics & insights
Define and track program KPIs (time-to-competency, adoption, compliance completion, effectiveness, behavioral change) and produce dashboards and recommendations
Run post-delivery evaluation cycles and continuous improvement sprints based on performance data and stakeholder feedback
Change management & stakeholder communications
Lead local change and adoption activities to maximize uptake of new systems, processes, and ways of working; craft stakeholder communications and leader enablement materials
Serve as the local evangelist for learning initiatives and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing
