Team: Strategic Marketing & Insights, Product & Portfolio Strategy

Organization: Novo Nordisk Global Business Services (GBS) India Bangalore

Transform market research into strategic insights that shape the future of therapies reaching millions of patients worldwide.

Your new role

As Global Customer Insights Lead, you'll be at the forefront of translating complex market data into actionable strategic insights that inform critical business decisions across our global portfolio. You'll own the end-to-end market research process, working at the intersection of brand strategy, customer understanding, and commercial excellence to drive lasting impact.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Driving the preparation and delivery of high-quality market research for key products, portfolios and areas of interest on a global level, ensuring decision-relevant insights reach senior management
  • Leading the end-to-end market research process and timeline in close partnership with global brand teams, affiliates, and external vendors to deliver timely, cost-effective results
  • Challenging vendors and internal stakeholders on research design, methodology, and execution processes to continuously elevate output quality and value
  • Developing strategic guidance and establishing a cohesive blueprint for the annual market research plan, aligned with therapeutic area priorities and the drug life cycle
  • Leading the Situational Analysis (SitA) process to strategically identify core dilemmas and knowledge gaps for key brands, ensuring insights inform brand strategies
  • Building and sustaining strong, trusted partnerships with stakeholders across Product & Portfolio Strategy, regions, and Top 15 affiliates to ensure alignment and successful attainment of common targets
  • Presenting insights in key forums to educate and provide direction to affiliates, synthesizing findings from multiple sources to provide robust, triangulated results

Your new department

In Product & Portfolio Strategy we drive commercial strategy, medical affairs and business development across all therapy areas. We act as a connector and compass, guiding the new Novo Nordisk portfolio for sustained competitiveness upstream, and maximising portfolio potential through successful commercial strategies and competitive launches downstream.

You will be part of the Product & Portfolio Strategy GBS team in Bangalore, a dynamic and collaborative department dedicated to driving strategic objectives and delivering high-quality results. Based in a fast-paced and innovative environment, the team works closely with cross-functional stakeholders across headquarters in Denmark and affiliates globally to address key business objectives and shape the insights that drive our commercial success. In this role, you'll contribute to the development of brand strategy and go-to-market processes, ensuring that brand priorities are informed by the latest market and customer insights.

Your skills & qualifications

We're looking for a strategic thinker who can transform complex information into clear, impactful insights that drive decision-making at the highest levels. You'll bring with you:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in a market research function and/or as a management consultant in a client-facing capacity
  • International experience, either from having worked abroad as part of your career or in close collaboration with colleagues based in different geographies
  • Demonstrated experience delivering best-in-class strategic insights, identifying growth opportunities, and using an analytical and logical mindset to solve exceptionally complex problems
  • Track record of strong project and stakeholder management in a cross-functional setting, with proven ability to influence and mobilize stakeholders while maintaining strong relationships
  • Deep industry knowledge of research designs, companies and practices that drive best-in-class results
  • Exceptional communication skills, with proven ability to synthesize high-volume information into clear, concise messages for audiences across multiple seniority levels
  • Master's degree within Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, or Pharmaceutical fields (focus on market research or Life/Pharmaceutical sciences is seen as an advantage)
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to process large amounts of materials of high complexity, handling multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
