Key responsibilities & accountabilities:



  • Support the design and development of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems used in pumps, and water technology products.
  • Prepare and modify 2D drawings and 3D models using Creo and other CAD tools.
  • Create and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation in accordance with company standards.
  • Interpret customer specifications, engineering requirements, and industry standards.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of Bills of Materials (BOMs) within ERP systems.
  • Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to engineering drawings.
  • Participate in product validation, prototype evaluations, and design reviews.
  • Support engineering change requests and product improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing, operations, quality, and global engineering teams to ensure successful product execution.
  • Assist in troubleshooting engineering and manufacturing issues and recommend practical solutions.
  • Support documentation activities associated with engineering releases and product lifecycle management.
  • Learn and apply engineering best practices, design standards, and product development processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, and innovation.

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience:



  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from recognized university
  • 0-1 years of experience in a Mechanical Design role.
  • Internship or academic project experience related to mechanical design, CAD, pumps, fluid systems, or product development will be an advantage

Required knowledge, skill & abilities:



  • Basic understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal, casting, machining, welding, and fabrication.
  • Exposure to engineering drawings and GD&T concepts.
  • Exposure in 3D CAD software, preferably Creo; knowledge of AutoCAD will be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with BOM creation and engineering documentation.
  • Basic understanding of pumps, valves, motors, or industrial equipment is desirable.
  • Exposure to FEA, CFD, or simulation tools is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of ERP and PLM systems is desirable.
