Generative AI/LLM Engineer

Synechron is hiring a Generative AI / LLM Engineer to drive the design and implementation of advanced AI solutions. This role involves building and deploying Large Language Models (LLMs) and agentic AI systems within scalable enterprise environments.

The ideal candidate will contribute to AI-led digital transformation by developing high-performance models and integrating them with business applications, primarily leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Design, develop, fine-tune, and deploy LLMs and Generative AI models
• Build and implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines
• Develop scalable APIs and microservices for AI model consumption
• Optimize models for performance, scalability, latency, and cost efficiency
• Build reusable ML pipelines, feature engineering frameworks, and data workflows
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Engineering, Product, Cloud, and Application teams)
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend adoption strategies
• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and data privacy standards
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior team members

Programming

• Python (3.8+) – Expert
• Java – Proficient (Good to have)

Databases

• SQL (BigQuery preferred)
• NoSQL databases

AI/ML & Frameworks

• TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras
• Experience with LLMs, Generative AI, and RAG architectures

Cloud & MLOps

• Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Vertex AI)
• MLFlow, model tracking, and model registry
• Model performance monitoring and optimization

Development Tools

• Git (Version Control)
• FastAPI / Flask (API development)

Preferred Skills

• Docker & Kubernetes (containerization & orchestration)
• CI/CD pipelines for ML workflows
• Vector databases: FAISS, Pinecone, Chroma

• 6+ years of experience in ML model development and deployment
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with LLMs / Generative AI
• Proven experience in implementing RAG pipelines in production
• Strong experience with GCP (BigQuery, Vertex AI)
• Experience integrating AI models into enterprise-grade systems
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in computer science, AI/ML, Data Science, or related field
• GCP or AI/ML certifications (preferred)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on complex AI systems.
• Effective communication skills to articulate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Leadership qualities, including ownership and initiative.
• Adaptability to rapidly evolving AI trends and technologies.
• Capable of managing multiple experiments, models, and project deadlines.
• Innovation-oriented with a focus on scalable, sustainable AI solutions.
