Review partnership tax workpapers/returns and provisions for global alternatives funds, partnering with advisors and strengthening controlJoin a global Alternatives Tax team supporting complex, multi-jurisdictional fund structures at scale. You’ll work closely with leading tax advisors and internal stakeholders to deliver accurate, timely tax reporting. Help strengthen controls and drive smarter, more efficient tax operations.


As an Alternatives Tax Analyst within Private Bank – Alternatives Tax Team, you provide first-level review and analysis for global tax reporting across alternative investment funds. You review third-party prepared workpapers and partnership returns, identify issues, and support tax provisions and client inquiries. You partner extensively with internal teams and external advisors to improve controls, enable launches, and ensure timely delivery.


Job Responsibilities
  • Review tax workpapers and returns prepared by third-party advisors during estimates and K-1 season.
  • Identify partnership tax issues and escalate items requiring technical interpretation or remediation.
  • Prepare tax provisions and supporting schedules in line with reporting requirements.
  • Discuss technical tax matters with U.S. and international tax advisors to resolve open items.
  • Coordinate timely collection of inputs required to complete tax filings and reporting deliverables.
  • Respond to client tax inquiries with clear, accurate, and timely communication.
  • Enhance operational controls and documentation to reduce risk and improve consistency.
  • Support new business launches by aligning tax reporting needs, timelines, and stakeholders.
  • Interact frequently with administrators, fund managers, and third-party advisors to manage deliverables.
  • Partner with internal teams (Corporate Tax, Funds Control, Structuring, Legal, Operations, Sales) to execute reporting.
  • Maintain strong organization and recordkeeping for auditability, reviews, and recurring processes.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills 
  • Bring Tat least 2 years of partnership tax experience across private equity, hedge funds, and/or real estate funds.
  • Demonstrate partnership return review experience, including Forms 1065 and/or 1120.
  • Communicate effectively with strong verbal and written skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Manage competing priorities with strong time management in a fast-paced, multi-deadline environment.
  • Work proactively and learn independently with strong ownership and follow-through.
  • Apply strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and structured problem-solving to identify and resolve issues.
  • Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint effectively for analysis, documentation, and stakeholder updates.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills 
  • Hold a Master’s degree in Tax and/or CA/CPA qualification.
  • Combine public accounting and industry experience, including exposure to Big 4 environments.
  • Apply working knowledge of FATCA and CRS reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with German, U.K., and other international tax regimes relevant to fund structures.
  • Show prior experience preparing or reviewing tax provisions for alternative investment vehicles.
  • Leverage tax research tools to support issue identification and technical analysis.
  • Execute automation initiatives using tools such as Alteryx or Xceptor to improve efficiency and controls.
